Meet Amber On-Site Owner
Ms. Amber is the original owner of the 20-year-old Goddard School in Forest Hill, MD and 3 additional Goddard Schools. She has three children, a son-in-love and two grandchildren, both Goddard graduates. She met her husband of 36 years at Gettysburg College where she majored in English and Elementary Education, followed by a Master’s degree in Reading at Towson University as she taught 3rd grade in Oxford, PA. She dreamed of opening her own school which began with the education of her own children and developed into the three Goddard schools that she and her husband now oversee. The theme of our school is the “Joy of Reading” and she seeks to instill her love of reading through a phonic rich curriculum. She strives each year to provide a solid foundation, socially and cognitively, as her teachers’ nurture each child’s heart, body and mind. Her goal is that every parent will drop off their child with confidence, joy and peace knowing their child is in the best of hands and school.

Relationships are no. 1 for 1 and under. We foster trust and help your little ones investigate the world around them.

Our teachers support your child as they continue to develop their independent selves.
Twos
2 - 3 yrs
We practice expressive language to help your child in all areas of their development, especially the big emotions that come with the territory.
Bridge
2.5 - 3.5 yrs
We support all areas of continuous development, setting your child up for success in and out of the classroom.

We help your child experiment with writing, drawing and painting with a purpose.

What Our Goddard Village Is Saying
In the short time we have been at Goddard we have had an amazing experience. The staff is amazing and the facility is flawless. Everyone has been so welcoming and our son adapted so well to a new environment.
Goddard has been the best thing we could have ever done for our daughter. The teachers are amazing and caring, the office staff is on top of everything. We have seen amazing progress in our daughters education over the last year. Being at Goddard has absolutely given her a head start before she ventures into kindergarten. We are forever grateful for the teachers and staff.
We switched to Goddard from another center and I have absolutely no regrets. My daughter is thriving there & asks when/if we’re going to school every morning (even on the weekends). I am so happy to see her learning & growing!!
The teachers and staff truly care about the children. The curriculum is great for inspiring learning and development. Semi-annual parent teacher meetings held parent stay in touch with learning expectations, etc. The Fall and Spring festival are a great event for the kids.
