Meet Brian Owner

I am the On-Site Owner of The Goddard School in Downtown Pittsburgh. I am dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where children can thrive. I believe in the power of play-based learning and am committed to supporting each child’s unique growth and development. I hold a business degree from Mercyhurst University and have successfully owned and operated sports companies geared toward early childhood athletes. My family means the world to me: my amazing wife, Ashley, and I are blessed with a precious baby girl, Cali, born in November 2024 who soon will join her three-year-old big brother, Tristan, and the rest of our Goddard Family at the school. I also have a beautiful 16-year-old stepdaughter, Laila who is a sophomore in high school. I am eager to further nurture the inclusive culture at The Goddard School alongside my talented team, and to forge strong relationships with families to provide the best possible experience for every child.

Infant

6 w - 12 m

Relationships are no. 1 for 1 and under. We foster trust and help your little ones investigate the world around them.

Toddlers

12 - 24 m

Our teachers support your child as they continue to develop their independent selves.

Twos

2 - 3 yrs

We practice expressive language to help your child in all areas of their development, especially the big emotions that come with the territory.

Bridge

2.5 - 3.5 yrs

We support all areas of continuous development, setting your child up for success in and out of the classroom.

Preschool

3 - 4 yrs

We help your child experiment with writing, drawing and painting with a purpose.

Pre-K

4 - 5 yrs

Your child will be kindergarten ready without worksheets!

No matter how the morning goes, I know that Ms. Shanna and Ms. Lindsay will greet me with a smile when we arrive at Goddard and that when I pick my son up I will get to spend the drive home hearing about all the fun he had at school that day. P21 EXEMPLAR - PARTNERSHIP FOR 21ST CENTURY SKILLS: A NETWORK OF BATTELLE FOR KIDS

The mission of P21: A Network of Battelle for Kids (BFK) is to serve as a catalyst to position 21st century readiness at the center of American K-12 education by building collaborative partnerships among education, business, community and government leaders. P21, now a network of BFK, will continue to support a vision for learning to ensure 21st century readiness for every student. The Goddard School strives to provide the best possible learning environment, educational framework and professional development opportunities.

SECURE EDUCATION CONSULTANTS (SEC)

Secure Education Consultants is a company owned and operated by former US Secret Service Agents designed to help us take our safety and security to the highest level possible. SEC is a group of highly-skilled security and protection experts. The SEC team specializes in analyzing facilities, developing Emergency Preparedness Plans, and preparing faculty and staff to appropriately confront emergencies of all kinds.

PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

The PA DOE considers the education of its children to be among the highest priorities of state government and has dedicated many resources toward that end. Educators who are PA DOE certified prepare for their responsibilities in the schools of the Commonwealth through the completion of a State Approved Teacher Education program (includes student teaching or field experience), The Pre Service Academic Performance Assessment (PAPA) in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, and completing application materials documenting that all certification requirements have been met.
