At The Goddard School of Westerville (Polaris), we believe that the start of your child's journey matters. We’re excited to celebrate 25 years under the same ownership with a refreshing update to our school this summer! Established in 1999, we’re proud to be one of the first Goddard Schools in Central Ohio, with teachers who’ve been with us for over 23 years. We offer multiple flexible food options, the Wonder of Learning curriculum, and Istation for academic growth. We prioritize health and safety with 24/7 video surveillance and provide a chartered, full-day Kindergarten elementary school program.

Meet Steve Owner

I’ve proudly owned and operated The Goddard School (Polaris) since 1999 and remain an active, daily presence in the school. With over two decades of experience in early childhood education, I’m deeply committed to creating a nurturing, safe, and enriching environment where children can thrive. After earning my degree from Miami University in 1994, I worked in educational technology with companies like DataBeam, Lotus, and IBM. I now serve as principal of our school, which operates as both a private preschool and a non-public charter elementary school under the Ohio Department of Education. I’m lucky to share this journey with my wife Teresa, a top realtor in Central Ohio, and our two daughters—Breia, a buyer’s agent, and Mariah, an esthetician and entrepreneur. Our granddaughter Scarlett is a student here and loves being our unofficial “product tester.” As a family, we lead an active, joyful life—and I’m honored to be part of so many children’s early learning journeys.

6 w - 12 m

Relationships are no. 1 for 1 and under. We foster trust and help your little ones investigate the world around them.

Toddlers

12 - 24 m

Our teachers support your child as they continue to develop their independent selves.

Twos

2 - 3 yrs

We practice expressive language to help your child in all areas of their development, especially the big emotions that come with the territory.

Bridge

2.5 - 3.5 yrs

We support all areas of continuous development, setting your child up for success in and out of the classroom.

Preschool

3 - 4 yrs

We help your child experiment with writing, drawing and painting with a purpose.

Pre-K

4 - 5 yrs

What Our Goddard Village Is Saying

Goddard puts a high emphasis on learning and it seems they weave it into everything they do. I like that they hire teachers with degrees and the teachers take time to do quarterly evaluations on each child which are pretty detailed. I also appreciate that the school is very organized and offers great amenities to the students like Tap & Tumble, and parents like Parents Night Out.

I like the developmental approach that Goddard takes in planning the curriculum and daily activities for the students. Having a psychology background myself, it was important that their programming was based on something real, something more than just keeping the children entertained. Of course they had to meet our standards for safety, etc., but we wanted our son's development to be encouraged in a way similar to how we would interact with him if we were able to stay home with him.
